This tour is offered for a limited window each year while the road remains closed to vehicle traffic, typically from mid-April through mid-June
Experience the magic of spring in Glacier National Park with a self-guided hike/bike tour on the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road… before it opens to vehicle traffic.
Each spring, Glacier National Park’s most famous alpine road becomes a quiet playground for cyclists and hikers. With no cars on the road, you’ll have the rare opportunity to pedal and explore Glacier’s breathtaking mountain scenery at your own pace.
Whitefish Outfitters will help make this experience completely hassle-free by providing your bike rental, gear, and convenient shuttle transportation, so all you have to do is show up ready to ride.
Pedal or hike past cascading waterfalls, towering cliffs, and lingering snowfields as Glacier awakens from winter. Stop whenever you’d like for photos, soak in sweeping valley views, or simply enjoy the peaceful stillness of the park in spring.
Hiker/Biker Shuttle into Glacier National Park with pickup and drop-off at Lake McDonald Lodge or at the vehicle closure. Accommodates 1–12 guests. Please note that guests are responsible for their own park entrance fee.
