Winter Sleigh Rides

When the temperature drops, it’s time to bundle up in winter gear and harness our favorite gentle giants- the draft teams!  Gliding across Montana’s snow-blanketed landscape while cozied up under a plush blanket with family and friends on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, is a wintertime tradition.

Each sleigh ride winds through open fields and woodlands, giving you the chance to take in the beauty of the snow-covered landscape. The Bar W Guest Ranch is located at the base of Spencer Mountain, just minutes from downtown Whitefish, providing an optional view of timbered ridges, Spencer Lake, and Montana’s expansive beauty.

Each Bar W sleigh seats up to 10 guests, with up to three sleigh rides offered each day. Our sleigh ride adventures begin at 1:00 p.m., and additional rides may be added daily based on demand at 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.
If your group is larger than the available space on a single sleigh, please give us a call—we’ll do our best to arrange for your party to ride together. After your ride, gather by the fire and enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee.
